I have yet to hit the purchase button on my Pandora. I’m cheap, I know. But I do like listening to free music, obnoxious adverts and all. My brother Rob introduced me to URBS radio soon after he and his wife threw a huge Mad Men party back in February. URBS is a chic collection of instrumental arrangements that are peppy, somber, cheeky, and rhythmic all at once. I especially enjoy listening to URBS while writing here on Big Red Kitchen. It does have a Mad Men feel to it, and you can hear the MM theme song there on occasion. I also enjoy World Cup Fever Radio- a wild Gaelic mix; The Rat Pack Radio- swoon; Pink Martini Radio- groovy; and Bossanova Radio- swanky.

It depends on my mood…80′s, Black Eyed Peas, Harry Connick Jr, Top Country and for hanging out on the porch on Saturday night Jack Johnson mix. I will have try the URBS this weekend.
Depends upon what I am doing – Reading and eating dinner, as well as in the office working, I usually listen to Los Lonely Boys station or the Pink Floyd station. Cooking, I will put on either the Marshall Crenshaw or David Byrne station. Right now, I am streaming a Chicagoland radio station because their featured artist of the day is David Byrne & Talking Heads but I am going to check out the URBS station this weekend.
