These meatballs in the grape jelly and chili sauce are often served in the catering business. People love the tangy and sweet sauce. caterers love it because it's easy to prepare. Until I read this post, it did not occur to me to prepare it for the family, and even better over rice. Thanks for the great idea!

One of my co-workers brought meatballs to our Thanksgiving day pot luck last year and they were simmering in a crock pot all morning. It smelled fantastic and when I asked him what the sauce was and he said Grape Jelly and Chili sauce, I thought he was lying. They were fantastic!

I'm actually eating turkey meatballs (that were frozen) for my lunch today, they are so good!

I've done the same thing with Costco meatballs! I do meatballs with a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of consomme beef, a package of onion soup mix and a can of water. Dump it in the crock pot or cook it on the stove top. Serve over mashed potatoes.

That really is a great recipe! I've made it before, using chili sauce instead of ketchup, and no allspice. Next time I'll add the allspice though, to give it a little punch! :)
